  • Keep your feet clean and dry: Wash your feet with warm, soapy water daily, making sure to dry them thoroughly, especially between the toes, where moisture can encourage fungus growth.
  • Wear breathable footwear: Opt for sandals, open shoes or materials that allow air circulation around your feet. Avoid tight-fitting, closed-toe shoes for long periods, as they can cause excessive sweating.
  • Change your socks frequently: Wear socks made of moisture-wicking materials, such as cotton or wool, and change them at least once a day if your feet sweat a lot.
  • Avoid walking barefoot in public areas: Protect your feet by wearing flip-flops or sandals when walking in places like swimming pools, public showers, locker rooms, and gyms, where fungus may be present.
