What is psychology?

Through dialogue and communication, the psychologist and the patient work together to identify and change the patterns of thought and behavior that keep a person from feeling good.

A blood test, for example, can assess whether some altered parameters are contributing to aggravating the symptoms and the general state of health of the patient.

Diagnostic imaging tests aimed at ruling out underlying psychopathologies. In this case, the psychologist could refer the patient to another mental health professional.
